Title : The glamorous (double) life of Isabel Bookbinder
Author : Holly McQueen
Ignore the main character's last name, it got me snickering. Anyways, the book is about how a young woman who got fired from her job for sending the wrong email, exposing someone's secret extra marital affair.
Isabel had a colourful imagination which can be kind of annoying. Perhaps I hate people who are over ambitious and count their chicken before they hatch. I dislike those letters she constantly write in her imaginative 'I'm a famous writer' persona.
Isabel was hired as Katrina's (a famous children book writer) personal assistant. Gawd, I want Isabel's job!
The book was saved by the Katrina's twist of plot in the end but how an airhead like Isabel managed to get a great man is just baffling.

Title : Yours, faithfully
Author : Sheila O'Flanagan
Two families. Two women. One wants to get pregnant for her husband, the other is done with kids.
Little did they know, these two women share something in common.
The story starts with the introduction of the wives and their lives then down to the spin of the whole book, although it had seem obvious from the first two chapters.
Tragedy brought both women together. In the first place, there were a lot of animosity and dislike but as the tragedy dragged on, both women formed a strong friendship, understanding themselves along the way.
Another important role was the female investigator who ended up being close to the two women.
Overall the book was okay but too much darkness and anger makes it not such a light reading
